Mission
Kern Valley New Horizons is a Faith-based nonprofit organization. Our mission is to assist women who are ready to recover from abuse, addictions, mental illness, homelessness, and/or lack of functional living skills. We will begin to establish overall wellness utilizing, Christian principles from the Bible. We will provide access to psychiatric care, employment training, and classes to enhance basic life skills. Our goal is to empower our clients to become productive members of society, thereby transforming the local community, one woman at a time.
Vision
We are a group of dedicated women who see a need in The Kern River Valley to reach out to vulnerable women who are ready to make a change in their lives. Many of us have experienced the conditions of homelessness, domestic violence, and mental illness, and have, with the help of others in the community, overcome and learned to thrive. We desire to give this free gift of hope to others who would have it.
